Behind the scenes this week
I’m writing this on a train as I’m off to London for the weekend to visit my family. This is why it’s good to have a gap between exhibitions. It’s not just for the taking down and re hanging, but the fitting in of the personal life too. I’m a touch late sending this week - due to a badly behaved iPad which didn’t want to update.
In between driving my daughter to various appointments, taking my son swimming and my husband’s music adventures I have taken all the artwork down and filled all the holes. Then I’ve sanded and painted over them. All the beautiful pictures are unpacked and some of them are on the walls. You can see some sneak peeks on instagram at Instagram.com/kreivagallery.
The small room at the back of the gallery is turning into a little shop area. If you are local to Bridlington and would like to put any prints or cards in it on sale or return over Christmas please let me know. This is something I’m considering keeping going next year so if you are interested I’d love to hear from you.
The work in the exhibition is a real mix as usual. There is photography, textiles, realism, and abstract. Artworks have arrived from as close as Yorkshire to as far as Czechia and places in between. I love the mix of styles and locations.
Magic + Miracles opens on Wednesday 15th November with a midpoint festive evening on Friday December 1st. If you’re local, I hope to see you there.
There is a lovely artist profile this week for paid subscribers…
