This week the gallery is happily promoting CMTuk for the awareness month. The Massive + Miniature exhibition is still going too. The gallery has been quiet today due to the outrageous weather happening outside. Fortunately the CMT exhibition is available to view and buy online, you can access it from the warmth and comfort of your living room at kreivagallery.com/kreiva-gallery-shop.
I’m in the process of updating the massive + miniature artworks online at the moment and it has taken a little longer due to a couple of technical issues. In the meantime, you can view my art portfolio at saatchiart.com/sophiewalker.
Behind the scenes in the studio, I decided to make some paper. I originally had the idea to create hand painted notebooks out of it. I sold out of notebooks during the Open Studios. Now that I’ve made the paper, I have plans to use it for an art project. I enjoyed making it, I took bookbinding as an element at university so it’s something I still like to do.
A little shop area has sprung up in the gallery so I plan to grow it…
If you’re an artist or maker and have products you would like to contribute to the gallery shop (which will also be online) please email hello@kreivagallery.com.
This weekend I’ll be starting the selection process for the Magic + Miracles exhibition, I’ve had a peek at the submissions and it is looking amazing already! There is still time to submit if you want to, all the submission info is at kreivagallery.com/submissions. Info about upcoming and previous exhibitions is at kreivagallery.com/exhibitions. If you have any ideas you’d like to do or see at the gallery for next year, please get in touch HERE. Thank you :)
This week the gallery spotlight is on Edd Jones, Edd contributed two brilliant oil pastel drawings to the People + Place exhibition. As well as great art, he has an inspiring story. Read on to learn more about Edd…
