This week the artwork has been arriving for the next exhibition Magic + Miracles. It is always a busy and exciting time as I select the artwork, await its delivery and issue delivery notes and receipts. I’ve been in the studio developing my piece for it as well:
I’m now working on the brochure and the labelling for it as well as planning the layout of where it is all to go. Here is a sneak preview with some close up details of what is in store:
Today is the last day of the Massive + Miniature exhibition. It has been great to have the space to hang my big canvases all together as well as the little canvases in between. The CMT charity exhibition has been great for awareness month, being shared online by the CMTuk charity.
I’ve been thinking about what to do with the gallery over January and I might turn the whole space into a studio and paint some giant canvases - just because I love painting big artworks and I haven’t ever had the opportunity or the space to work on more than one at a time, the idea feels like a great luxury!
If you are are an artist or an art group, the gallery is available to hire next year, I have plans for some more group shows but nothing is set in stone as yet. I’m also getting some enquiries about workshops. Please get in touch if you have any workshops you would like to see or if you are an artist and wish to put on a workshop. You can either email hello@kreivagallery.com or fill in the form on the contact page HERE.
This weeks artist feature is on Darryn Elgar. Darryn contributed a fascinating piece for the People + Place exhibition and makes a dynamic and absorbing style of art. Read on to find out more about Darryn and his work.
